Late last year, Tesla confirmed that the first builds of the new Model Y have been produced at the factory. This led us to believe that the ones spotted may likely be those first builds with Tesla's new structural battery pack.

The launch of this new Model Y with a new structural battery pack may prove to play a vital role in Tesla's growth. Elon Musk believes that the new technologies are a “manufacturing revolution” in the auto industry.

It has been reported that these new Model Y's were scheduled to be delivered by the end of the quarter. An estimated 100 of those vehicles were spotted, ready for transport, with more produced at the factory.
